What should I do if my name exceeds more than the space limit of 30 character in UPSC Application

   

In this article we are going to discuss one of the very important task for some candidates. while filling the application form Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Examination.

 

So many candidates will face this name limit problem, while filling the upsc examination application, and they don't know what to do, they will be stuck in the starting of the application

If your your length of name is higher than 30 charcters then you need to read and see the video provided below, and these steps are very very important to do, if you will not do then your candidature may be rejected in later stages, so beware to read all the below steps

 

Follow the below steps if your name exceeds more than 30 characters


Step-1: If name exceeds more than thirty characters length then abbreviate your name in the Name Column.

Step-2: After entering the abbreviated name in the first Column then Press TAB Key in the keyboard

Step-3: After pressing TAB Key you will get a popup in which you can see message written as "Your name is exceeding 30 characters kindly use abbreviation in the Name column and also you should fill the full name in the 'Full Name' column" then click OK.

Step-4: After clicking OK you can see another column i.e. Full Name column.

Step-5: Enter your full name in that Full Name box as per your 10th class marksheet.

Step-6: After that send a signed written request to Joint Secretary (Examination), UPSC, Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi 110069 by Speed-post or by Fax (011-23387310) giving details of the full name and reasons for abbreviation in this regard; otherwise your application / candidature may be rejected at a later stage.

So if your name is exceeding 30 charcters then follow the above important steps, if you get any doubts you can also call to upsc customer care and they will solve your problem
