First of all sign-in to your cloudflare dashboard by using your credentials and click on the SSL/TLS section and in the overview section set the encryption mode to full.
Now you need to shift to edge certificate section within the same tab and you need to check the SSL status and expiry date.
Now you need to scroll down & then turn on the following settings given below.
- Always Use HTTPS
- Minimum TLS Version (TLS 1.0)
- Opportunistic Encryption
- TLS 1.3
- Automatic HTTPS Rewrites
Now the SSL settings in cloudflare are done. These settings will apply to all CMS platforms including WordPress and Blogger.
Now you need to check whether the SSL certificate is working properly on your website or not and here check if the HTTP pages are redirecting to HTTPS automatically or not and also check if the non www pages are redirecting to www pages or not
Fix SSL Errors in Cloudflare
If you are still having issues with the SSL certificate or your website is not redirecting to HTTPS pages then you have to fix this issue by using the Cloudflare page rules.
And to enable page rules, click on the Rules section in the cloudflare dashboard and now you can see screen as shown in the below image.
Here you have to create two page rules to fix this issue of SSL certificate and Mix content errors.
Page Rule 1
Now you need to click on create page rules and add the domain name without adding WWW in the first field as shown in the below image.
And select the forwarding URL in the dropdown and select 301 Permanent Redirect.
In the below field enter your domain name with WWW and add $1 after the domain as shown in above provided image.
Here you need to paste the URL correctly and (*) asterisk and $1 in the URL structure is very important.
Page Rule 2
Now you need to add the URL of your website as mentioned in the below format and select the And select the always use HTTPS and then click on save button.
Now after adding the two Page Rules, you can easily solve your SSL issue in Blogger websites and WordPress websites and it also redirects to non www pages to www pages automatically. so anyone can access your website by just typing the domain name only.
And also it can be helpful or solving mix content errors in your WordPress and blogger websites.
If you are still facing this issue then you should check your SSL settings in your CMS platform and if you are using WordPress you can use the "Really Simple SSL" plugin to solve this issue.
