Interested candidates can apply for Indian Airforce after completion of Intermediate or 12th.
After completion of Intermediate or 12th candidates will be part of the Indian Airforce family, by applying for National Defense Academy (NDA).
After this candidates will be shortlisted for Indian Airforce after the selection procedure, after this they go through a fit or strong three or 3 years training at National defense academy, and there followed by special training.
In the training the cadets will be called as commissioned as temporary officers and there after they are called as commissioned as permanent commission officer and then posted at any of the Airforce station base.

How to Join in NDA (National Defense Academy)
Candidates can join in National Defense Academy by qualifying the exam conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission ).
This Examination will be conducted twice a year and the examination centers will in all major cities and towns through India.
Eligibility Criteria
Age: Candidates should be in between 6 (1/2) to 19 (1/2) Years (At the commencement of the course).
Nationality: Candidate should be belongs to India.
Educational Qualification: 10+2 or 12th or Intermediate with compulsory subjects of Physics and Mathematics, and here for this examination final year students are also eligible to write.
Exam conducting dates: In the month of January and June (it will be released by UPSC in their official website i.e. www.upsc.gov.in
Stages of the Qualification
1) 1st phase is to Qualify in the test conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission).
2) 2nd phase is to attend the interview conducted by NDA.
3) 3rd phase will be medical test conducted by NDS.
4) After qualifying all the above three phases then the candidates will be given entry to the National defense Academy (NDA) and is open for Flying Officers branch, Ground duty (Technical) and Ground duty (Non-Technical).
All the candidates selected for Flying branch and Ground duty (Technical) will be offered B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology) in NDA (National Defense Academy) and Candidates of Ground duty (Non-Technical) will be offered B.Sc Degree.
