The below are some steps you need to follow to download Aadhaar Card online:
Step: 1 [Visiting the official UIDAI website]
First and fore most you need to visit official website of Aadhaar i.e. UIDAI website.
After visiting the official website you need to open a link available with the name as Download Aadhaar, which can be seen in the Get Aadhaar section.
Step: 2 [Visiting My Aadhaar website through UIDAI]
After clicking on "Download Aadhar" link from official UIDAI website you will be redirected to My Aadhaar portal there you can download your Aadhar card.
After visiting My Aadhaar portal you need to scroll down, there you can see a card with name as "Download Aadhar".
Click on "Download Aadhaar" Card, then page load and you will be asked to fill some details to download.
Step: 3 [Entering the Personal Particulars]
Now you have successfully visited the official Aadhaar download page.
Now you have different options to download your Aadhaar card.
There are three ways you can download your Aadhaar card:
- Download by Aadhaar Number
- Download by Enrollment ID
- Download by Virtual ID

Step: 4 [Aadhaar Download by Aadhaar Number]
In this way you need to have your Aadhaar number with you and this number comprises of 12 digits.
In the first box you need to enter your Aadhaar Number
In the second box you need to enter the captcha.
After successful entering the above two details, click on Send OTP, after that you will get One Time Password (OTP) to your registered mobile number.
Enter OTP in the OTP box and after it will show a option i.e. you want masked Aadhaar or not, it is your interest to choose the masked Aadhaar card or not.
After that click on Download button, then you can download your E-Aadhaar card which will be acted as a official identify document.
Step: 5 [Aadhaar Download by Enrollment ID]
In this way you need to have your Enrollment number which will be provided at the time of creating Aadhaar or Modifying Aadhaar at Aadhaar Center and this number comprises of 28 digits.
In the first box you need to enter your Enrollment ID / Number
In the second box you need to enter the captcha.
After successful entering the above two details, click on Send OTP, after that you will get One Time Password (OTP) to your registered mobile number.
Enter OTP in the OTP box and after it will show a option i.e. you want masked Aadhaar or not, it is your interest to choose the masked Aadhaar card or not.
After that click on Download button, then you can download your E-Aadhaar card which will be acted as a official identify document.
Step: 6 [Aadhaar Download by Virtual ID]
In this way you need to have your Virtual ID and this Number comprises of 16 digits.
In the first box you need to enter your Virtual ID / Number
In the second box you need to enter the captcha.
After successful entering the above two details, click on Send OTP, after that you will get One Time Password (OTP) to your registered mobile number.
Enter OTP in the OTP box and after it will show a option i.e. you want masked Aadhaar or not, it is your interest to choose the masked Aadhaar card or not.
After that click on Download button, then you can download your E-Aadhaar card which will be acted as a official identify document.

Step: 7 [Opening of the Downloading Document]
After downloading of the Aadhar pdf, you can see password to open your Aadhar card pdf file.
To open the pdf file you need to enter the password.
Here is an example of your password i.e.

Now your password is the the combination first four letters of your name in CAPITAL and the year of birth [YYY] as password.

After finding your password enter it in the pdf file then after you Aadhar Card will be opened then you can take a print out if that pdf file and can be used a physical identity document.
